The Management Committee wish all our Members
a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thank you to all our Members for your continued support throughout 2021.  We are looking forward to celebrating the end of 2021 and welcoming in 2022 with all of you at our New Year’s Eve Ball to be held at the Club.  Please join us for what will be another fabulous event of great food, good company and dancing!

We have been busy planning exciting events for next year including another Grappa Appreciation Night which was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to Dr Roberta De Bei, Rosa Matto and Gina Dal Santo for organising such a memorable event.  Our Next Gen Committee are also busy planning events that will hopefully encourage more people to become members of the Club.

With the borders now open, we are seeking expressions of interest from Members who would like to come along on a 3 Night Murray River Discovery Cruise in April 2022 – see details on the next page.

We look forward to another year of social games in 2022!  Please contact Rick Corletto if you would like to join in with our group or learn how to play Bocce.

Our final social event for 2021 will be a Christmas Dinner which will be held on Sunday 5th December, 5:30pm at the Challa Gardens Hotel. Dinner consists of a two course meal with a choice of mains (roast turkey, fish and chips or chicken schnitzel) and choice of dessert (Christmas pudding with custard or pavlova with fresh fruit). The cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. We have been advised that the hotel is now under new management with a new head chef so we can expect a good standard of food and service. If you would like to celebrate with us, please contact Mirella on 0413565010 or Sonia on 0438835611 by Monday 29th November.

The Club will be open on Friday 24 December 2021 and closed from 25 December 2021.  Reopening on Friday 28 January 2022 for Members.

We remind you that when you attend events at the Veneto Club you must use the COVID SAfe Check-In and scan the QR code with your smart phone. The Veneto Club is pleased to be a sponsor for the Veneto Market Gardeners website

The Veneto market gardeners website (click here) is an archive of oral history recordings, transcripts of interviews, family photos and other documents that tell the story of 19 veneti who arrived in Adelaide in the late 1920s. Within ten years 16 of the pioneers had become market gardeners in the western suburbs, now Kidman Park and Flinders Park. They continued working the market gardens until the early 1980s. Most pioneer market gardeners and their children were foundation members of the Veneto Club Inc. Adelaide.
